We’ve been ready an eternity to watch the world’s first giant robot battle, and now our time has lastly come.

The USA’s MegaBots battle towards Suidobashi of Japan is getting streamed on Twitch on Wednesday October 18 at 3am BST.

When you don’t really feel like staying up that late (or rising fairly so early), you’ll be ready to atone for YouTube and Facebook after the occasion so that you needn’t miss a minute of the metal-on-metal insanity.

To offer you a way of the enormity of the battle, the American Eagle Prime competitor is 16 toes tall and weighs a whopping 12 tonnes, which is about as heavy as a London bus.

Kuratas, Japan’s courageous challenger, is a barely shorter 13-footer that weighs virtually half as a lot at 6.5 tonnes.
